Annual Conference

Each year, Trinity Reformed Baptist Church (TRBC) hosts a conference with a quest speaker to speak on a special topic. These conferences are meant to further increase the congregation's knowledge and appreciation of the Bible in addition to the regular preaching of the Word.

Blaine Dyess is the pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Middleton, TN.

Speaker - Dr. John Mahony

Dr. Mahony teaches theology at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis and is Chairman of the Department of Theological and Historical Studies there.

Sunday, October 18 at 10:30am

Topic - The Power of the Gospel

Speaker - Jordan Thomas

Jordan Thomas is the lead preaching pastor at Grace Church in downtown Memphis.

2013 Fall Bible Conference 

Pastor Dean OliveBrother Dean Olive from Grace Baptist Church in Madison, Alabama, was our guest speaker for this year's Fall Bible Conference held October 18-20. The theme of Brother Dean's messages was "A Narrative of Surprising Conversions" and explored the work of sovereign grace as shown in the experiences of three different people in Acts 16. The topics of the messages were as follows: 

  1. "The Conversion of a Business Woman" Acts 16:13-15

  2. "The Conversion of a Slave Girl" Acts 16:16-24

  3. "The Conversion of a Prison Guard" Acts 16:25-34

2012 Reformation Conference

Dr. Jimmy Millikin from Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis was our guest speaker for this year's conference. Although this conference was originally scheduled for October 28-30, 2011, Dr. Millikin graciously rescheduled for the following February 3-5 after the passing of Brother Philip Richards on October 17, 2011. The theme of the conference was Solus Christus or Through Christ Alone. The topics of the messages were as follows: 

  1. “The Preeminence of Christ” Colossians 1:15-22 – The scope and basis of His preeminence

  2. “The Incarnation of Christ” Philippians 2:5-7; John 1:14-18 – The implication, nature, and purpose of His incarnation

  3. “The Death That Jesus Died” Philippians 2:8 – Concerning the atonement

  4. “The Present Exaltation of Christ” Philippians 2:9-11 – His resurrection and ascension, and their meaning and significance for us today

2010 Reformation Conference

Dr. Fred ZaspelDr. Fred Zaspel, pastor at Reformed Baptist Church of Franconia, PA, was our guest speaker for this year's conference held October 29-31. The theme of the conference was Sola Fide or Through Faith Alone. The topics of the messages were as follows:

  1. “Sola Fide Re-Discovered” Romans 1:16-17

  2. “Four Aspects of Divine Righteousness” Psalm 97

  3. “Thoughts on Saving Faith, Part 1” John 20:19-31

2009 Reformation ConferencePastor Steve Burchett

Brother Steven Burchett, elder at Christ Fellowship of Kansas City, was our guest speaker for this year's conference held October 30 – November 1. The theme of the conference was Sola Gratia or By Grace Alone. The topics of the messages were as follows:

2008 Winter Bible Conference

Dr. Sam WaldronDr. Sam Waldron, pastor at Grace Reformed Baptist in Owensboro, KY, and academic dean at Midwest Center for Theological Studies, was our guest speaker for this year's conference held December 5-7. The theme of this year's conference was Sola Scriptura or Scripture Alone. The topics of the messages were as follows:

  2. “The Perfection of Scripture – Part 1” 2 Timothy 3:15-17
